E3 is still being talked about and unfortunately for this game and its publisher, it was not displayed at E3. WipEout HD is a futuristic racer and rumor has it that the real reason for the no show was due to seizure inducing issues. The “real” reason that was explained about why it was not there because of a “technical problem” It will be released on the Playstation Network for download for the PS3 and is being developed by Sony.

She (being Lara Croft, Not Angelina Jolie)will be going into the underworld to retrieve his hammer that as been told for generations can smash anything with its power. This leads her to the Mediterranean sea floor in her quest. To be quite honest, the trailer looks good and should be making people salivate enough to want to play it. The game is to be relased this November on Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii and the Xbox 360
That’s right. Microsoft is giving out the first bits of info for the new DirectX 11release in small doses. It will support DirectX 10.1 as well as 10, support Vista and future operating systems (unlike the Direct X 10 controversy that was Vista only), developers could do parallel processing, a multi-threaded resource to use multiple cores of a CPU and support for tessellation which will make close up rendering a lot smoother and sexier.No other details are released yet.

In a first for the Jimi Hendrix estate, his songs are being used for the first time (full proper songs, no cover versions) in games. Guitar Hero has snapped up the rights to do it in its new game Guitar Hero World Tour and will be releasing Purple Haze (Live, 1969) and The wind cries Mary as songs to play. It is also possible more will be released as downloadable content. Finally, Jimi will be a playable character in the game. It will be released on the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and the Wii in Spring sometime.

Every so often the gaming catalogue provided by Valve via their digital download service on Steam garners new fans. Mercenaries 2: World in Flames trailer
If you played the original Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction game, you would probably be looking forward to this one eagerly. Little thought about contender in the console wars is dominating the US consoles sales. The Wii from Nintendo has stolen the crown from the Xbox 360 selling nearly 11 million consoles. Will the other consoles catch up with new gaming titles like when Halo 3 came out to help the Xbox 360 overtake the Wii again?

E3 is the place to hear all the good stuff. Sony is working on another survival - stealth game called Siren: Blood Curse which will be based on the adventures of an American TV crew in Japan documenting Hanuda (the vanishing village), rumoured to have had human sacrifices amongst other things.
The difference with this game is that it will be released by 12 episodes like the half life episode series, grouped in 4 chapters and available via the PS3 network by downloading it.
