E3 is still being talked about and unfortunately for this game and its publisher, it was not displayed at E3. WipEout HD is a futuristic racer and rumor has it that the real reason for the no show was due to seizure inducing issues. The “real” reason that was explained about why it was not there because of a “technical problem” It will be released on the Playstation Network for download for the PS3 and is being developed by Sony.

Do you think that the complexity in games are causing people to have more medical related problems directly linked to them?

Tomb Raider Underworld Trailer Wed, 23 Jul 2008 07:21:00 +1000
Posted by Pits
As seen in this trailer found here, you can see what awaits for our heroine. In this new game, it has taken a trip into Norse (Scandavian mythology) about the God of Thunder, Thor. She (being Lara Croft, Not Angelina Jolie)will be going into the underworld to retrieve his hammer that as been told for generations can smash anything with its power. This leads her to the Mediterranean sea floor in her quest. To be quite honest, the trailer looks good and should be making people salivate enough to want to play it. The game is to be relased this November on Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii and the Xbox 360

Do you think this game will be good?

That’s right. Microsoft is giving out the first bits of info for the new DirectX 11release in small doses. It will support DirectX 10.1 as well as 10, support Vista and future operating systems (unlike the Direct X 10 controversy that was Vista only), developers could do parallel processing, a multi-threaded resource to use multiple cores of a CPU and support for tessellation which will make close up rendering a lot smoother and sexier. No other details are released yet.

Do you think Direct X 10 will be a lot better than the last release?

Little thought about contender in the console wars is dominating the US consoles sales. The Wii from Nintendo has stolen the crown from the Xbox 360 selling nearly 11 million consoles. Will the other consoles catch up with new gaming titles like when Halo 3 came out to help the Xbox 360 overtake the Wii again?

Out of the 3 current consoles, which do you have and which is the best.

More E3 trailers, this time Siren: Blood Curse Fri, 18 Jul 2008 07:52:00 +1000
Posted by Pits

E3 is the place to hear all the good stuff. Sony is working on another survival - stealth game called Siren: Blood Curse which will be based on the adventures of an American TV crew in Japan documenting Hanuda (the vanishing village), rumoured to have had human sacrifices amongst other things.

The difference with this game is that it will be released by 12 episodes like the half life episode series, grouped in 4 chapters and available via the PS3 network by downloading it. To see how it looks, click here to see it at work. 50 weapons will be available with unique finishers. The release date is this summer in the states.

Is this genre being overworked?
